Just saw this movie today and all I can say is: brilliant. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is seriously an amazing film. Not quite what you expect too. It’s heartbreaking (obviously), so go prepared with some tissue, but also be prepared to smile. I was completely blown away by the acting skills of Thomas Horn (the main kid). He was AMAZING. I swear to you, this kid is going to be nominated for Best Actor for the Academy Awards, and he has an extremely good shot at winning. It’s one of those movies where you just sit in your seat at the end and are unsure of what to do. So so so so beautiful with its cinematography and acting. It’s hard because it’s such an emotional movie, so I’m not sure it’s something that can become someone’s favorite movie to watch over and over again. However, the beauty of it is that it captivates you in that one time showing, that you’re left thinking about it days after.
